Advanced power strips are an easy, low-cost way to manage your home electronics and save energy.
Many electronics consume energy whether they are on or off. Advanced power strips save energy by automatically turning off electronics when they are not being used. There are two options to choose from:
- Tier 1 – allows you to designate one device as the control, so when you shut down a device, other electronics plugged into the strip are automatically turned off
- Tier 2 – includes either an infrared or motion sensor that can detect when electronics are not being used and turn them off automatically, without you having to do so
Eligible residents may qualify for new advanced power strips through income-based assistance.
- This offer is only open to Massachusetts residential electric customers of Cape Light Compact JPE, Eversource, National Grid, or Unitil
- Discounts are valid from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, subject to availability
