Steam traps are automatic valves releasing condensed steam while preventing the loss of live steam. Maintaining a regular schedule of steam trap repair and replacement allows steam to flow at a controlled or adjusted rate for optimal energy efficiency.
Steam trap surveys can identify steam trap leaks, flooding, inappropriate design or sizing, defective assembly, inadequate discharge temperatures, high back pressure, obstructions, blockages, and more.
- Must be an existing customer of Berkshire Gas, Eversource, Liberty Utilities, National Grid, or Unitil
- Must have a licensed heating contractor or plumber install mechanical steam traps
