Pipe, Tank, and Valve Insulation

Get the most out of your steam and hot water systems.
Insulating hot water and steam pipes reduces heat loss and saves energy.

To effectively do their job, the pipes in your building need the right insulation. Adding industrial pipe insulation (to steam and hydronic systems) delivers better process control by maintaining the temperature from pipe entry to exit.

This can lead to greater operational efficiencies and reduced energy loss.

If you are a small business, you can also qualify for pipe insulation incentives by participating in a small business energy assessment.

  1. Contact Your Program Sponsor
Before starting your project, provide your Program Sponsor with insulation specifications, project costs, projected energy savings (using the pipe, tank, and valve insulation savings calculator), and a custom project application  to see if the project is eligible for an incentive.
  2. Receive Pre-Approval from Your Program Sponsor
Once Sponsor review has occurred and the project is determined eligible, a pre-approval letter will be issued outlining the incentive amount.
  3. Install Pre-Approved Equipment
Once your project has been pre-approved, install the approved insulation within 12 months.
  4. Project Verification for Incentives
Once installation is completed and inspected, receive associated incentive from the Program Sponsor.
