Pairing weatherization with a heat pump adds even more benefits:
* A heat pump is an electrical system, so running one will add to your electrical use. In many cases, that additional electrical use is offset by savings elsewhere, such as a propane or oil heating fuel bill. Of course, if you’re adding a heat pump where there was no cooling source before, it will increase your electric use. Your electric utility offers a seasonal heat pump rate to lower your cost to heat your home during the winter months.
If you prefer to take a self-guided path, you may choose your own participating Heat Pump Installer while taking advantage of Enhanced Heat Pump Rebates.

You can also choose a participating Home Performance Contractor to complete your no-cost Home Energy Assessment. The same contractor can also complete any recommended insulation and air sealing work during a follow-up visit.
If you already know what upgrades you’re looking to make and you are looking to access quick incentives, you may access direct incentives for insulation and/or air sealing upgrades. You can skip the assessment and work with a Direct Weatherization Independent Installation Contractor to scope out your project and access incentives.
For heat pump installations, you can contact a Heat Pump Installer Network Contractor to receive a quote.
Your municipal utility is not part of the Mass Save program. Please contact them directly for energy efficiency program information.
Quality Inspections
After work is completed, a quality assurance inspection is performed. The inspections are performed by trusted lead vendors: Abode Energy Management, CLEAResult, RISE Engineering, CMC Energy Services, and Center for EcoTechnology — depending on who your Mass Save Sponsor is.
