Saving energy pays off—Mass Save® Sponsors earn 2022 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year

The Sustained Excellence Award is the highest honor presented by the ENERGY STAR program and recognizes the Sponsors’ long-term commitment to leading Massachusetts to a cleaner, more energy-efficient future. Winners are part of a distinguished group of national advocates who drive value for our environment, economy and communities.
Here is just a sample of what the Sponsors were able to accomplish this past year through the Residential Retail program:
- Drove sales of 91,845 ENERGY STAR certified appliances and electronics, including 27,344 smart thermostats
- Invoiced 5,869,526 ENERGY STAR certified lighting products, including bulbs and fixtures through negotiated cooperative promotions, instant price discounts and direct online sales
- Sent more than 900,000 emails and secured more than 50,000,000 paid media impressions
- Distributed 60,000 ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs to low-income customers directly through 77 food banks and food pantries
- Held eight virtual fundraisers to benefit area schools, resulting in an 11th-year total of over $652,000 raised, 110,980 students educated and an estimated 154,624,593 kWh saved
